Nature segnala che è stato scoperto un pianeta su cui un anno dura solo 29 ore terrestri. E' grande come Giove ed è vicinissimo alla sua stella, tanto che le gira attorno come una trottola.
Il pianeta (che per i curiosi si chiama OGLE-TR-56b) immagino abbia delle maree veramente terrificanti.
Astronomers have found the most distant planet orbiting another star. It is also the fastest yet found - its year lasts a mere 29 hours.
The planet is 5,000 light years away, towards the centre of our Milky Way, and 20 times further than the previous record holder.[Nature]
