Trackback: Blog A refers to Blog B in a post, and sends a ping to Blog B telling it so. Blog B registers ping and displays its contents - time, Blog A's URL, Subject, Author and Excerpt.
Post-It: Blog A writes an entry and wishes it to be posted/copied/syndicated on Blog B, so Blog A sends the entry's URL, Entry Title, Blog Name, Entry Text, and ComeBack URL.
ComeBack: Blog B contains an entry that was put there via Post-It from Blog A and someone posts a comment to that entry on Blog B. When the comment is posted, MT recognizes that the entry was placed through Post-It, and sends a ComeBack ping to Blog A.
BackTrack: Blog A writes an entry, referring to Blog B. Blog A automatically pings Blog B, but then also asks Blog B for a list of all the other sites pinging Blog B. This list (excerpts and titles and links) is then displayed on Blog A.
More Like This From Others: Blog A writes an entry, which is then referred to by Blog B. Blog B trackbacks Blog A. Blog A follows the trackback back to Blog B and discovers Blog B's RSS feed. Blog A then displays excerpts and titles and links from Blog B of all the entries within the RSS feed that are denoted as being in the same category as the first Blog B post.
