Premetto che non vado di solito alle manifestazioni e l'argomento ha per me un interesse puramente accademico. Un giorno chiacchieravo con un mio amico, un sedizioso di cui non farò il nome, commentando le cifre  riportate da non so quale manifestazione. Lui, che è un grande frequentatore di questi eventi, mi ha detto che non sono solo le cifre degli organizzatori, che sono gonfiate, ma anche quelle della questura (di solito un terzo di quelle degli organizzatori).

In realtà, ha continuato il simpatico iconoclasta, quanti sono davvero non interessa a nessuno, interessa solo che siano di più della volta prima, e questo a occhio si vede abbastanza. Perciò si è innescata questa escalation sul tipo (siamo di più dell'altra volta che eravamo centomila quindi siamo duecentomila). 

Il mio amico, che è un tipo sperimentale e scientifico (è uno degli ultimi tre comunisti, di quelli che non votano nemmeno) si è messo diverse volte in testa al corteo, poi si è fermato e ha effettivamente contato la gente che passava. Venti in questa fila, dodici in quella ecc...ecc... Secondo le sue misurazioni empiriche il numero delle persone è all'incirca la metà di quello stimato dalla questura (un sesto della cifra degli organizzatori). Lui sospetta che per le manifestazioni di destra  il dato della questura sia ulteriormente gonfiato (si sa che le questure non sono covi di sovversivi) ma non possiamo verificare la congettura se non si trova uno sperimentatore obiettivo che va alle manifestazioni di destra (una specie di grifone).

Ripensavo al mio amico oggi (e di quanto è più avanti) leggendo questo articolo su kuro5hin:

Risentirete parlare del mio amico, sta facendo previsioni politico/economiche sul futuro che per ora non vi riporto.
